B Valve Adjustable Technology
The proprietary adjustable valve is able to deliver medications of different viscosity level according to the individual user's conditions and needs with ease. Our VA technology allows users to adjust different levels of nebulization rate ranging from 0.08 to 0.2 ml/ min at a consistent particle size.
The nebulization rate can be adjusted by the user in a very easy way without any part replacement. The higher nebulization rate/fully open is intended for higher viscosity medications and users with a higher breathing capacity while the lower nebulization rate with a closed valve is more appropriate for children/infants with a lower breathing capacity

C Assembling the nebulizer kit
Consult the cleaning instructions in this manual under “Cleaning procedure” prior to using your nebulizer for the first time or after it has been stored for an extended period of time.
Always unplug the compressor and make sure the power-switch is set on “OFF” position before cleaning or assembling the device and before or after each use.
1. Place the compressor unit on a flat stable surface within reach.
2. Gently twist and pull the nebulizer lid to separate it into two parts (the medication cup and cover).
3. Make sure that the nozzle is properly installed inside the medication cup. The stem inside the medication cup is inserted into the tube of the nozzle.
4. Add the prescribed amount of medication to the medication cup.
5. Reassemble the nebulizer by carefully twisting the medication cup and cover simultaneously. Make sure that the two parts fit securely.

D Operating the nebulizer
The nebulizer is operable at up to a 45° angle. If the angle is greater than 45°, no aerosol will be generated.
1. Attach one end of the air tube connector to the air output.
2. Carefully attach the opposite end of the air tubing connector to the stem at the base of the nebulizer kit.
3. Attach the angled mouthpiece or mask to the top of the nebulizer.
4. The capacity of the medication cup is 2~5 ml.

After every use:
A 30-minute pause interval after each use is recommended.
1. Unplug the unit from the power source.
2. Allow the unit to completely cool off.
3. Carefully detach the air tubing from the nebulizer and pour out any remaining medication.
4. Follow the cleaning procedures provided in this manual.

E Using the AC adapter
1. Check that the power switch is in the “OFF” position.
2. Connect the unit from the back side to the AC adapter with the AC adapter jack.
3. Plug the AC adapter into the socket. (AC adapter with the required voltage and current, indicated near the AC adapter jack.)
4. Only use the official Rossmax AC Adapter with this nebulizer.
5. Press the power-switch to the “ON” position.

F Cleaning procedure
Rinsing technique (performed after each treatment or before the first use).
1. Make sure that the power switch has been turned to “OFF” position and that the unit has been disconnected from the power source.
2. Disconnect the air tube from the nebulizer device.
3. Gently twist and pull up the cover of the nebulizer kit to open and separate it.
4. Rinse the nebulizer kit and components with hot tap water.
5. Dry with clean towels or completely air dry.
6. Reassemble the nebulizer kit.

For the first time use, or after the unit has been stored for an extended period of time, thoroughly clean all components, including the air tube. The nebulizer kit is dish-washer safe.

Cleaning the compressor
Wipe the compressor daily using a soft cloth.
NOTE: Cleaning the unit in any different way or with cleaning agents might damage the unit.

G Replacing the air filter
It is important to replace the air filter when it starts turning gray. It is recommended to replace the air filter every 2 months.
1. Remove the air filter cover by gently pulling forward.
2. Discard the gray filter.

4. Securely re-attach the air filter cover to the unit.

NOTE: Do not clean or wash the air filter. Use only NB60 air filters. Do not substitute alternate materials such as cotton. Do not operate the device without an air filter.

Troubleshooting
If any abnormality occurs during use, please check and adjust the following:
1. The unit does not operate when the power switch is pressed: Check the AC connection to the outlet.
2. No misting or a low rate of misting:
• Check if there is any medication in the nebulizer cup.
• Check the main unit for any physical damage.
• Check the position of the nozzle inside the nebulizer.
• Make sure the air tube and other components are properly attached.
• Check the air filter and replace it if necessary.

Inhalation treatment - Why, When and How?

Nebulizer inhalation method is one of the best ways for cough, bronchitis and asthma treatment. Instead of regular hospital visits, the users can use nebulizers for treatment at home, in familiar conditions and atmosphere.

Most of us have probably done an inhalation treatment at least once in a lifetime at home by covering our head with a towel and placing it above a steaming cup of chamomile tea. This is one of the oldest forms of inhalation. There are many different types of nebulizers, but in this case, we'll be discussing the standard compressor nebulizer.

Compressor inhalator (nebulizer) is a device which compresses medication in a liquid form into a breathable aerosol, allowing it to reach even the tiniest part of our lungs through inhalation.

Inhalation treatment with a nebulizer is recommended for viral and some bacterial respiratory inflammations: sinusitis, nasopharyngitis, laryngotracheitis, pneumonia as well as non-productive and productive cough of various source.

Nebulizers are used for viral inflammations to alleviate the cold symptoms and ensure a complete spontaneous recovery. In addition to that, they are also used for some bacterial sinus and airway infections by delivering antibiotics to those areas and mitigating paranasal cavity drainage. This is especially effective when it comes to allergic rhinitis, laryngotracheitis and asthma treatment.

Inhalation is the right choice for the treatment of productive cough, since coughing takes a lot of effort and the thick mucus causes a lot of fatigue. Adults sometimes manage to cough the mucus out, but children struggle with it a lot. This is why a nebulizer is the best possible solution to make a child's life easier. It can speed the recovery process up to a couple of times.

What goes into the nebulizer?

Various medications can be added to nebulizers for the inhalation treatment. The first condition is that the medication is in a liquid form, isn't oil-based and that it can be applied on the respiratory system with specific indications.

The most basic form of inhalation is adding 3ml of saline to the nebulizer and inhaling for 15-25 minutes. This is a symptomatic therapy used in order to moisturize airways in case of the non-productive cough or light colds. However, this form of therapy is absolutely essential for children, from few-days old babies to older children. The inhalation isn't uncomfortable. As a matter of fact, it is quite an enjoyable process and children are mostly very cooperative during the process. It is important to include them in the inhalation process. They sometimes get bored, so parents come up with ideas such as letting them watch cartoons on TV or cellphone. The inhalation can be done with a mask or with a mouthpiece - which is useful in case the child is afraid of using a mask.

Several other ingredients are added to the saline in order to treat other symptoms that appear due to some other diseases. These ingredients or medications are prescribed by a doctor. The medication depends on the weight in case of children, or on specific symptoms in case of adults.
